Last Updated: October 10, 2026
At Cool Point Air Conditioning & Heating, we believe in straightforward pricing, honest communication, and standing behind our work.
We want every customer to feel confident when choosing us for their heating and cooling needs.
1. Diagnostic and Service Fees
Our standard diagnostic fee is $65, unless otherwise agreed upon before service.
Once a technician has performed the agreed-upon diagnostic assessment, the diagnostic fee is generally nonrefundable, except where required by law or where Cool Point determines that a refund is appropriate.
If a diagnostic appointment is canceled before any services are performed, no diagnostic service charge will ordinarily apply unless a separate, lawful cancellation fee was clearly disclosed and agreed upon.
2. Repairs and Completed Services
Payments for authorized repairs, maintenance, and completed services are generally nonrefundable once the agreed-upon work has been performed.
If you believe a service was performed incorrectly or an issue remains unresolved, please contact us promptly.
We will review your concerns and determine whether additional troubleshooting, corrective work, warranty service, or another appropriate resolution is warranted.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
3. Equipment Purchases and Installations
Refunds and cancellations involving HVAC equipment, installation projects, or specially ordered materials are governed by the applicable written agreement and California law.
Where a customer has a statutory right to cancel, Cool Point will honor that right and provide any required refunds within the legally prescribed timeframe.
After applicable cancellation periods have expired, any cancellation charges or deductions must be permitted by law and supported by the applicable agreement.
4. Appointment Cancellations
We understand that plans change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we appreciate as much advance notice as possible.
Customers are encouraged to contact us before their scheduled appointment to avoid unnecessary technician dispatches.
Any applicable cancellation or trip fees will be disclosed before booking and assessed only where legally permitted.
5. Warranty-Related Concerns
If a problem arises following a repair or installation, please contact us.
Qualifying issues may be addressed under the applicable manufacturer or workmanship warranty.
Warranty eligibility and coverage will be determined according to the written warranty terms and applicable law.
6. California Cancellation Rights
Certain California home improvement contracts provide consumers with a three-business-day right to cancel. Consumers age 65 or older may qualify for a five-business-day cancellation period. Additional cancellation rights or exceptions may apply depending on the type of transaction.
When required, Cool Point will provide the appropriate statutory cancellation notices and honor applicable cancellation and refund requirements.
7. Requesting a Refund or Resolution
If you have a billing concern or would like to request a refund, please contact us with your name, service address, date of service, and a brief description of the issue.
We will review your request and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
